Description: Lot of 8 beautiful Mme. Alexander dolls, diff szs and series, most w/tags and original boxes, EVC. Research is taken from “The Madame Alexander 2010 Collector’s Dolls Price Guide #35” among other websites. The pricing are guidelines (a starting place) and only apply to mint dolls/boxes. Overall, this is a beautiful collection of vintage M.A. dolls. They are from an estate in Ednyville, NC (near Asheville) and have been properly stored for many years. However, regardless of how well they were stored, certain things can happen during storage; deterioration, smells, materials fading...within this collection, the most common issue is that of the deterioration of the rubber bands that hold the dolls together. Most of these dolls are at least 30 years old, and rubber bands are not meant to last that long. The pictures of the boxes are so you can see what I think is an excellent box (left) vs a not-so-great box. They both work as intended but one looks much better than the other. I would say there are one or two that I feel are in mint condition, and maybe a handful or two of them being a bit battered but still very usable. The rest, the bulk of the collection’s boxes, are in very nice condition. · #430, 8” BALLERINA. Made between ’73-’92. NOS. Part of the Storyland series and has wrist tag, outer clothing tag.
