Owned by Saga Communications, and operated as part of its Columbus Radio Group, the station serves the Columbus metro area. 1 sticker featuring WRNW107fm: Originally, WRNW was based in Mount Kisco, created in the early 1960s and playing big band music. It changed to the progressive rock format in 1972 with an odd mix of funk, jazz, blues, reggae and later on new wave and punk. The move to Briarcliff Manor came in 1974. It served as the training ground for legendary radio personality Howard Stern, renowned disc jockey Meg Griffin and many others who launched their careers at the station. 1 Sticker featuring WNBC Radio 66 : Now a defunct NYC AM Radio Station, that ran from 1922 to 1988. It was the flagship of NBC Radio (National Broadcasting Company) and and the perennial home to Don Imus. It's alao the station that fired Howard Stern in 1985.
