Description: Rather incredible set of four original Jena Therm (Jena Glas or Jenaer Glas) coddled egg cups, absolutely quintessential Bauhaus design by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in Colorless glass with metal spring-lock cover, maker's mark on the lid. Very rare to see these early examples in this quantity, in this condition. Notice the wavy character of the glass where the shape of the dish curves. It's thick and heavy glass, weighing about 5.7 ounces each. Very good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age, some small scuffs, some wear around the edges where the spring lock comes into contact with the glass. There are some bubbles and splashes in the glass from the manufacturing process. Please review photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding.
