These are photo-documents of family relations in early 20th C. United States . The photos were commissioned by a family for personal use. These images capture the relationships between parents, children, siblings, and sometimes extended family. Buyer will receive the four (4) original physical prints and not the scan image files. The overall scans in this listing are at a low resolution and for illustrative purpose only. The digital watermark is NOT on the photographic items. I give no assurances of any right of ownership for the image. I am selling these prints with the idea that they will be used for personal use only. CONDITION: Please refer to the scans and photographs I have submitted to gauge the items condition. While in my possession the photographs have been kept in dark, dry, cool storage. However, due to their age there may be some imperfections such as wear on the edges, fading or scratches although not visible via scanning. Needless to say, the photographs show wear consistent with age and use. All the uploaded images I've posted are straight unadulterated scans of the photos being offered, as well as, a document showing the photos on a table work mat with a U.S. inch grid for scale reference. SOURCE: As a historian and collector I've been often drawn to vernacular aka amateur photography. For over 30 years I’ve purchased hundreds of family estate photo albums containing this subject of interest. These acquisitions are part of my collected archive (+100,000 images). After more than 30 years of collecting, I have decided to share some of these discoveries. I believe that a good photograph is inexhaustible; each time the image is looked at, it reveals more of itself.
