Description: The 1950s and 60s were the heyday of "The Old West" as entertainment. Adventure Town of the 1,000 Islands was a sadly short-lived Western theme park in Alexandria Bay, New York. It opened in 1955, but was shuttered in 1961. These three postcards were purchased on a long ago trip to the attraction, and never postally used. We have the holdup of the Deadwood stage, we have Black Bart holding up the Davy Crockett Express, the river boat Queen of Lake Geronimo, and Chief Crazy Horse bringing in a bank robber. (Historical accuracy was a rather flexible concept at these parks.) Condition: all three cards are in very nice condition with only very minor corner wear. I would not hesitate to give them as a gift.
