Description: For sale is a lot of collectible NASA documents and photos from the estate of a local (Huntsville, AL) NASA MSFC employee. Dr. Herman E. Thomason was a longtime NASA engineer, inventor, author and administrator. He began work with NASA in the 1950s and by 1962, was serving as the deputy chief of the Astrionics Division Gyro and Stabilizer Branch. In March of 1969, He began serving as the Deputy Director of the Preliminary Design Office, with the launch of the Program Development Office. In this high-profile role, and in light of some of his inventions and accomplishments, he received some hand-signed letters and commendations from NASA Administrators. This lot includes:8x10.5" Apollo 11 Achievement Award Certificate8x10.5" Fifteen Year Service Award. Dated Feb 4, 1969. This has a black ink signature from Wernher Von Braun, but I do not know if it is auto-pen or not. I did not get the signature evaluated or authenticated.A Record of Training Confirmation FormAlso included are (2) NASA Glossy Photos of Mr. Thomason receiving an award.
