Hamilton (1921–2014) illustrated the books.[2] …The series was published between 1953 and 1970. Volumes 1-4 were published by Doubleday.[4] Volumes 5-19 were published by Garden City, a Doubleday imprint.[citation needed] Volumes 20-33 were published by Doubleday.
