He went on to play lead and supporting roles in such popular movies as, "Stage Door Canteen" 1943, "Winged Victory" with Jeanne Crain, "Home in Indiana" 1944 with June Haver, "The Red House" 1947 with Edward G Robinson, "The Story of Seabiscuit" with Shirley Temple 1949, "Boy from Indiana" 1950 and "Montana Territory" 1952. In 1953, after appearing in more than 40 movies, he retired from acting and became a successful California real estate speculator.
