Description: Loie (Lois) Daily is one of the incredibly important potters of the American Studio Pottery Movement. She has worked in clay since 1952. The last 2 pictures are from the Marks Project, and show her signature as well as a list of potters workshops . She took part in workshops with some of the most important contemporary potters of the 20th century. She was a founding member of the Colorado Potters Guild in 1964 as well as founder of Lodestone gallery in Boulder. This blue speckled stoneware lidded dish has a lovely shape , 2 stout handles , and a twisted handle on lid, and is reminiscent in the functional pottery style of Betty Woodman, whom she had a workshop with. No chips or cracks, signed on bottom. Approximately 4.5 inches to top of lid and 6 inches at handles . Please see all pictures. Will pack with care. Incredibly SCARCE 3845
