Description: This is the hard to find No. 69 Motorized Maintenance Car manufactured by Lionel from 1960 to 1962. This motorized unit operates just like the more common No. 50 Gang Car. It reverses direction when one of the rubber bumpers strikes and end-of-track bumper, another car, or anything else. The safety sign on the top rotates when the car changes direction. There are some cracks in the railing--two on the side near the safety sign, two more on the end near the little man. Check the last three photos. I have examined this item carefully and have described it as accurately as I can, with an emphasis on anything which is wrong. However, I am not an expert on toy trains.
