Description: This Lionel tender is advertised by another as a Whistle, I'm not sure, as I'm not a Lionel guru. I'm Flyer. I hooked up a AF transformer to a piece of Lionel track and got it to (what I think is a) choo as I rolled it back/forth. I do not have a locomotive to pair with it, but there is no electrical connection for one, so coupled with the weight of this item, I'm betting it's a choo/whistle tender. It needs a good cleaning. Photos show some minor rust to wheel/connectors which should come off with sandpaper or steelwool. Base is metal and at front end you can see what might look like dirt, but it's minor rust and two screws connecting base to plastic shell show rust as well. Again, it made sounds when I connected it to power, and no sparks! Sold AS IS, no returns. I do combine shipments, and am listing/have listed other Lionel items, so if you are purchasing more than one, please let me know and WAIT for an invoice to avoid duplicate shipping charges. Increase in size of packing and/or weight may necessitate increase in quoted shipping price for this one item. Thanks for looking!
