Description: This rare antique Limoges vase is 5.5" tall and features hand-painted holly berries and leaves. This is a William Guerin & Co. vase, with the maker's mark on the bottom showing "WG & Co. FRANCE." Although photos have difficulty capturing it, there is also an artists signed "D" in cursive on the bottom of the vase. The vase features a cream base color with red holly berries, dark green leaves and brown branches, with splashes of light pink and gold trim, especially near the top of the vase. The top of the vase is irregularly shaped to give it a naturalistic, Art Noveau style. Given the maker's mark, this vase likely dates to between 1890 and 1932, although the lack of the word "Limoges" above the brackets suggests a late 19th Century production date. The vase is in outstanding condition for its age with no crazing, cracks or paint fading or loss. Overall, the vase is in very good condition, with excellent eye appeal. See ample photos provided. This rare, antique vase would be a welcome addition to any vase or Limoges collection and would add to your home decor, particularly around Christmas and the holiday season.
