This shell would have been found on Fort Myers Beach Or Sanibel Island somewhere between the sandbar and shoreline. If it was caught live then it happened during the 1980’s or early 1990’s prior to Lee County ordinance ban on keeping live shells. Since then we have not taken live shells from Lee County.
