The exterior is made of water-resistant, dirt-resistant oxford fabric for long lasting durability. The interior has a padded lining with a foil like cover for excellent thermal resistance. It is not the cheap foil layer that peels off after a few months of use. It is bonded to the padded foam insulation inside. I have been using the same bag for a couple of years and the interior is like new. This lunch bag also has a zipper closure.It works great with hot and cold items. Measurements when lying flat: 13 3/4 in X 8 1/2 inMeasurements when items are in the bag: 12 in wide / 8 in tall / 4 in gusset (bottom width) I keep one of these bags in my car so when I go to a fast-food restaurant, I place the food bag inside the LifeWit insulated bag and leave the zipper open. If you zip it shut, the heat will build up and make the paper bag feel damp. When I get home, my food is still nice and hot. When I get a few cold cokes from the gas station, I put them in the LifeWit bag and zip it shut. When I get home, they are still just as cold as when I left the gas station.
