Description: Up for sale is a vintage, lightly used “Library of Coins” coin album for US Franklin Half Dollars 1948-1963 (Volume 21). These albums are considered by many to be the finest coin albums available in the hobby, and have become hard to find in recent years. They are highly sought after for their quality construction, pleasing presentation, and high collectability. Note: Album is empty with no coins included. The album features half dollar sized ports that are covered by a clear acetate slide that glides in and out of the side of each page. There are 35 ports that are labeled for every year and mint mark between 1948– 1963, and 1 unlabeled ports for overflow/duplicate storage. Album measures 8-1/4” long x 6-1/8” wide. The album is in lightly used condition, with minor signs of previous use. The outside covers have some faded areas (possibly sun fading) and a small nick on the back cover (see picture). Corners/edges are sharp. All ports are crisp and clean. Most ports have been used, but all still capture coins tightly. All acetate slides are intact and cleaned of dirt/dust. There are a few scattered scuffs and creases on the interior pages (see pictures). Other than some bumps, dings, and handling wear, this album is in very good vintage condition.
