Description: This sale is for 11 issues of Liberty Magazine. This 1930's magazine takes a liberal slant on the issues of the day and then slides into entertainment and famous people. There is some tabloid-style writing in articles such as "I Married a NAZI", plus some romance stuff like "Marcia Keeps a Date". There is also some speculative science such as "Television is Here!" The cover art is Rockwell-esque but never quite packs the bite that a Rockwell cover or pre-war Colliers cover does. This is an interesting magazine and a testament to how much varied reading was available in the USA even during the bottom of the depression. The 11 issues are: February 4, 1933. Covers are separating but not there yet.March 7, 1936. Clark Gable cover.July 11, 1936.
