This cable has 1/4" rods instead of 3/16" like the OEM version. We used to build this cable with a 3/16" rod, but we had a lot of cables coming back broken. Because of the amount of failures, including OEM cables, we bought a mower so that we could develop a Heavy duty cable that will work for this application.
