Frank Leslie was perhaps best known for his documentation of the Civil War in his Illustrated Weekly Newspaper that chronicled the war. The best of these illustrations were reissued in combined volumes and histories after the war. He sent artists to the battle fields to sketch the events, which were then brought back to his printing company where they were cleaned up and turned into illustrations. The print is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. There are smaller illustrations and text on the reverse. Overall, a very nicely preserved print that would frame up well! Size: The page measures 11 1/2 by 17" with a margin all around as seen in the pic. Condition: It is in Very Good condition, basically as seen in the pics. There is typical light tonal ageing, darkening around the edges and a minor soft bend on the corner, otherwise it is very clean and would frame up nicely, see the pics for more on condition.
