Description: This auction is for aLegends Brass L-MFIIItrumpet mouthpiece. This is a shallow mouthpiece with a semi-round rim that is very soft and comfortable. There is some nice undercut for chop room, which makes the .636 inside diameter feel a little larger than it actually is. The entrance to the throat is rounded to allow good air flow for a big sound, even for such a small inside diameter. Slotting is excellent with the L-MFIII. This mouthpiece was inspired by the famous MF III, but with some design enhancements in the throat and backbore which enhance endurance, range and sound for the modern player. The L-MFIII is perfect as a lead mouthpiece. L-MFIII Specs: Outside Rim Diameter: 1.080" (27.432 mm) Outside Rim Contour: Medium Inside Rim Diameter: .636" (16.154 mm) Inside Rim Contour: Medium Cup Depth: Similar to Bach E Clients that have played this model have used it for extreme upper register work and extended upper register playing. The rim and cup of this piece are inspired by a classic mouthpiece familiar to many, however, it is not a copy of any piece. The L-MFIII has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore. This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
