In 1955, Dominick Calicchio created a mouthpiece for Maynard Ferguson which had a unique round rim and shallow, concave V cup. The mouthpiece was much sought after, and became known by the nickname "The Holy Grail". It has been copied and reproduced by many manufacturers over the years. The Legends H MF is based on a vintage Holy Grail copy produced and sold by esteemed mouthpiece maker Dave Houser. The H MF has the traditional rim, which is very round on the inside, and the shallow V bowl cup used by Maynard Ferguson. The throat is a tight #30, and the backbore is the very focused Legends Manhattan.
