The revival of the Kitty Black translation of the Jean Anouilh play (from the French play Eurydice) opened in NYC on 10/27/59 and ran for only 32 performances. The cast includes Ron Leibman, Freya Mintzer, Edward Asner, Dolph Sweet, Jerome Ragni, Frances Conroy, Ford Rainey, Mel Haynes, Elida Brito, William Larsen, Marcie Hubert, Russell Bailey, Louise Larabee, William Bramlette and Steven Shaw. Music by Richard Chodosh. Directed by George Mallonee. One-sheet and one-fold programs were sometimes called preview sheets or balcony programs. The program is complete. This is not a reproduction. Note: This is a regular Playbill size program. Condition is near excellent with minor wear including a horizontal fold. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
