Description: This is a left handed electric cello made by Ergo instruments. I purchased it a few years ago but cello is not for me. It has a piezo pickup wired directly to an output jack. I used a tuner pedal to mute the instrument when it was not in use. The cello is mounted to part of a drum cymbal stand but the two parts detach. The piezo is very sensitive to sounds so it will pick up movement from your hand or if you tap the instrument. The strings are run through the back, below the output jack. They seem crowded and I'm not sure if there's a way to improve that. It looks like you could reverse it to be right handed if you knew what you were doing. Does not come with a case, bow, or rosin. Just the cello and stand. This is a usable instrument for a beginner but it would also make a fun project for someone who knows how to modify something like this. The builder cut some corners and the price reflects that. I believe this was around $600 new. Will ship insured and tracked.
