He is the Managing Director and Founder of a research and development company named Wisdomy and a part-time lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch Business School for Executive Development. Dr. Coetzer was previously the Head of Organizational Effectiveness and the acting HR Executive at an international construction company, mainly responsible to enhance people, organizational, and leadership effectiveness in the Group. He was also a Director and Co-owner of a national furniture manufacturer and retailer, earlier in his career, looking after business development and human resource management.
