Lavender's history has biblical roots. It is referred to as Spikenard in the Bible. Mary used it on the infant Jesus and anointed Jesus after the crucifixion when she was preparing him for burial. All fragrances are mixed to order. With natural essential oil perfume, the essence oils take about two weeks to fully open up in the carrier, making it a wonderful journey to see what the final fragrance will be. Some of my favorite memories of perfuming was working with my grandmother to mix different fragrances and checking them each day to see what new notes I could detect.
