Description: Here is a beautiful copy of A Singular Man by J.P. Donleavy. This is a later edition probably late 1960’s as the original first edition was published in 1963. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. This book itself is quite beautifully designed. The cream colored heavy cloth boards are spotless and the dark black title box and gold gilt lettering is pristine. The publisher’s name is on its own dark black label with gold gilt as well as the author’s facsimile signature on the front board being on its own black label with the same gilt. The black top stain only adds to the overall beauty of this book. The dust jacket has some general wear along the edges and two of the corners with some soiling to the rear panel and two closed tears at the top. The jacket is price clipped and comes in a Mylar protector which can easily be removed should you wish to and with how lovely this book truly is, you may want to.
