Description: Up for sale is a rare and beautiful photo of employees at the Winona County Minnesota courthouse in the early 20th century. Even more rare, they are all IDENTIFIED. I acquired this photo from a native of Winona who was a historian and collector of local history. This photo is clearly taken on the steps of the Winona County Courthouse in Winona, Minnesota and is in very good condition. In doing my research, I believe this photo is from approximately 1908 due to the individuals who are featured in the photo. Some prominent people in the photo are County Commissioners Monahan, Felten, Voelker, Demuth and Roth, Joseph Winczewski (county auditor), Emil J. Fakler (clerk of the district court) and County Sheriff W.E. Parr. All of these people, as well as many others, are pictured and identified. This is an unbelievable find and wonderful piece of history for the clothing, picture of the courthouse, and the camaraderie of employees. Don't let this rare item get away. Cardboard on which photo is mounted measures 11" by 14". There is some corner and edge wear but it's minimal. The top layer of the board on the back is missing small spots, but again, minimal. Photo is clear, crisp and in very good condition. It measures 7 1/2" by 9 5/8". Don't let this one get away!
