Description: this is a large mounted photograph of sir Charles harington harington ! governor of Gibraltar in 1938 . this is signed tim Harrington which was his nickname ! the photo measures 9.3/4" --7" and the board is 15" --11" so is fairly large ! general sir Charles harington harington gcb,gbe, dso was a british army officer most noted for his service during ww1 and chanak crisis .during his 46 years in the army harington served in the second boer war - held various staff positions during the first world war - served as deputy chief of the imperial general staff between 1918 - 1920 and commanded the occupation forces in the black sea and turkey and ultimately became governor of Gibraltar in 1938 . this is signed by him and this comes with a paper sleeve and tissue guard as it was a presentation photograph .a scarce large official photograph in nice used condition with some very light age related browning !
