Description: This a large photograph, 23" X 19 1/4", printed on silk, dated on the silk photograph, 1892. This Original Antique Photograph is simply incredible. IT IS EXTREMELY RARE and historically significant as the photographer snapped a group of child actors and actresses dressed and in character looking straightinto the camera to capture this outstanding moment in time 1892. The picture is not matted or framed. It was matted when we purchased it but the mat was torn and very brittle, and to protect the silk, we removed the mat. There is a stain in the lower border area but only partially extends about 1/8 to 1/4 inch into the photo but blends with the foreground and would be hardly noticeable when matted & framed. We are have seen a few smaller sizes of photoson silk, but never anything this large. It is very unique and AMAZING! The image is lovely. The children are young and all are engaged, looking at the camera. Incredible personalities shine through every character! This appears to be a One of a Kind, totally unique, and museum quality photograph. It would be lovely matted and framed. RARE AS CAN BE!!!! Will be shipped in protective tube.
