Description: Offered here is a sweet recovered crash site artifact from Colonel Charles Yeager's Lockheed NF-104A AeroSpace Trainer aircraft. On December 10th, 1963, Colonel (later General) Yeager made two flights in this historic aircraft to altitudes over 100,000 feet. On the second flight, he lost control of the ship and was forced to eject. This artifact was recovered from the crash site in 1999 during a survey. This specimen is a BIG section of a circular aluminum frame. It was heavily damaged and twisted in the crash. It escaped heat damage and melting. A SWEET and sizealbe display piece!
