Description: Large Mid-Century BARTEL & SOHN Germany Sterling Silver, Pearl & Amethyst Brooch This stunning brooch was hand made around the 1970s by famous jewelry designer Bartel & Sohn in Germany and features twisted wires "growing" from a center bar covered in silver discs adorned with Amethyst spheres and pearls. The back has a functioning pin and catch and a large loop so that the piece can also be worn as a pendant (vertically). The piece is in very good vintage condition with no damage or missing pieces. It is stamped "925" for Sterling Silver and carries Bartel's designer mark. This vintage beauty measures 2 1/8" wide x1 1/2" high and weighs an impressive 15.6 grams.
