Description: Greetings, and thank you for noticing my purse! My native name is Lone Wolf, and I am a member of the Mackinac Bands of Chippewa (Ojibwe) & Odawa Indians. I have been making Native American style crafts for over 30 years. This purse is hand-made from top-grade embossed leather and white buckskin; no machinery was used in its production. I use simple tools---leather shears, hand punches, and leather needles. The purse is laced rather than sewn, for added durability; the small inner pocket is hand-stitched to the body of the purse. The necklace I used to decorate the flap is vintage, in great shape, and has been restrung by me. All of the fringe has been spilt by hand with leather shears and decorated with sterling plated beads and cones. The body of the purse is leather and the fringe and lacing is white buckskin. Purse size is: 13" high x 11 3/4" wide at the bottom x 3 1/2" deep. Each purse comes with matching pen caddy and nail-clipper holder (see pictures). This purse style has proven to be very popular. Another of my purses of this style recently won 1st prize and "Best of Show" at the Chippewa County Stalwart Fair, in the leathercrafting division, and sold the same day. (I've included a pic of the winning purse.) Kitchi-Miigwetch (great thanks), for looking at my purse!
