Description: Large c1920s Antique Chinese Carved Jade & Rosewood Easel Back 16” Picture Frame. In excellent, original condition as seen in photos. Translucent jade, intricately carved, with rosewood. Measures about 13.75” x 16” overall, takes a 9.675” x 11.75” picture. There are some splits in the jade with clean, professional, older, glued repairs. These are holding firm, showing no signs of weakening. One split, across the top left corner (see last 2 photos) has not been glued, can be jiggled a little bit, but is held securely in place by the frame. The glass has a slight flake at the bottom, which is not completely hidden by the rosewood edge. Fresh out of a quality antiques collection.
