Description: 96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For sale we have this beautiful and large example of an antique Art Nouveau sterling silver brooch/pin by Unger Bros; it is larger than any other Unger brooch/pin currently on Ebay. It boasts a quintessential Art Nouveau subject-matter of a woman/female with beautiful hair nestled amongst repousse flowers and swirling vines. The brooch/pin has the Unger Bros hallmark, and is stamped STERLING. Guaranteed to be from the Art Nouveau period c.1890-1915. This is NOT a modern cast reproduction. We have left the piece with its beautiful aged patina and we have not polished the brooch/pin. There are no dents or depressions to the woman's facial features-her nose, lips, cheeks, forehead and chin are in nice clean condition. There is a very small depression in the woman's hair on the right side of her head (see photos) as well as a small crimp/pinche to the floral motif in a few spots including the leaves at the top of the brooch (see photos). The detail throughout remains very crisp. The brooch/pin has its original C clasp. The brooch measures approximately: 2 1/2" wide (at its widest point) and 2 3/4" high (at its highest point). Please review the photos carefully as these are part of the description. As with any antique piece of this age there may be surface scratches and some minor wear below the patina commensurate with age and usage. Please ask any questions before purchase and we are happy to answer and/or provide additional photos upon request. The piece will be securely packaged, shipped with insurance and signature will be required for delivery. _______________________________ Please note: We are required by law to collect 8.00 % sales tax for all Ohio residents.
