Description: Large 19th C. Antique Old Paris Porcelain Hand Painted Well & Tree Platter from as South Jersey estate....A large, 19th Century hand-painted platter attributed to Old Paris circa 1870. The large 21" x 17" platter features polychrome floral decoration with gold trim on a purplish pink and white ground. It is in good condition, showing some wear to the gold paint on the rim but otherwise the condition is very fine. There is a "well and tree" design to capture juices while carving meat, but that activity was probably never used since the surface of the platter is free of defects or wear. Displays beautifully. Weighs about 8.5 pounds. I am also listing a very large, covered pedestal tureen in the same pattern.
