Description: These three books are a fun and engaging way for students to improve their reading skills. As children complete timed reading activities they build fluency. The board can be used in different ways: independent practice, pairing children up to check each other’s work as they read, and as an assessment tool to keep track of students progress. Each board has 10 pages of sight words and each covers a different set of one hundred words on Fry’s sight word list. The first seven pages have 14 to 15 words each repeated 6 to 8 times. The last three pages have short sentences and phrases for the children to read. The kids love these! It targets standards in recognizing and reading high frequency words, building reading fluency, and expanding vocabulary. The timers work and have brand new batteries in them. I even have a few extra batteries that I will include. The batteries last a long time.
