Description: Set of 8 Shoelace Lace Locks Cord Ends Lightweight strong and durable cord ends. Decorate your round or flat shoelaces with the lace lock color of your choice. If you want the aglets to be at the bottom of your shoes (see sample pictures) thread the lace starting at the top eyelets. If you want the aglets to be at the top of your shoes where a bow is traditionally tied, thread the lace starting at the bottom pair of eyelets. METAL BELL AGLET INSTRUCTIONS: As you pull the lace through the top eyelets, lessen the tension in that area because this area will flex the most as you walk. As the lace is threaded through the lower eyelets the tension should be increased so that the lace will not move as you walk. Insert the lace through the aglet (small end first) and tie a knot below the aglet. Remember to leave 2-3 inches protruding past the knot in the metal end (aglet) for later adjustments. After a few days you may decide to loosen the tension at the top eyelets, so leave an extra length at the bottom (if you started lacing from the top) for that eventuality. When you are satisfied with the tension in the lace, from the top of your shoe to the lower eyelets, cut off the excess so that the knot is hidden in the aglet. PLASTIC AGLET INSTRUCTIONS: Insert the lace in the eyelets and adjust the tension as described above. Fold the end of the lace over itself about 2 inches long and insert the plastic aglet over the looped end. After testing for a few days, when you are satisfied with the tension in the lace cut off the excess part of the loop.
