Description: An original hand-drawn and signed ink drawing by the late British caricaturist and cartoonist Richard Willson (1939-2011). Richard Willson began working for The Observer newspaper in 1968, before moving to The Times and The Sunday Times in 1971. His work also frequently appeared in many other publications including The Spectator, Washington Post and Racing Post. This 2002 United Kingdom National Health Service themed cartoon on thin card is captioned 'It's a new treasury model of the NHS' and features The Labour Party politician and Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, who later served as Prime Minister from 2007 to 2010. Provenance:Published in The Times newspaper on 8 August 2002. Originally purchased via a long established UK Fine Arts auctioneer and includes the certificate of authenticity (COA) which accompanied the artwork.
