Description: LA TOSCA – SUGAR TONGS – C 1900SSMC – STERLING SILVER MANUFACTURING CO.ANTIQUE This pair of tongs measures 3-7/8” in length. They are in the LA TOSCA pattern which dates to 1900. This is a nice clean item – GREAT claws! Straight lines with no damage. Hallmarked on each arm of tongs: SSMC STERLING. SSMC lettering each in own block (see my pictures). No monograms. They are STERLING SILVER! Estate item. I consider this set of tongs to be in EXCELLENT ‘as found’ condition. There are the usually found surface marks due to age and previous ownership. They are in as found condition unpolished by us. They could use a light polishing. Item will be shipped within 2 business days or less of cleared payment.
