Description: This is a beautiful Sirena / Mermaid holding a Sea Turtle and surrounded by a large Shell and Coral. This Medium Size piece is all handmade of unglazed Beige Color Clay and hand painted Rust and Cream Color Details. This lovely Mermaid was made in Santa María Atzompa by Rosario Lara Perez, but is not signed. There is a hole in the back so you can hang it on a nail. **Please note, that handmade pottery often has firing cracks and other small flaws.... Atzompa is a town outside the city of Oaxaca that is famous for it's long pottery tradition. Pottery making in Aztompa dates back to Pre-Hispanic times.
