Twin-screw, 21 knots, triple expansion engines two masts and two funnels. Launched March 31, 1901 with passenger accommodations for 437 first, 118 second and 398 third. Maiden voyage Havre-New York on August 31, 1901. Served as armed merchant cruiser in World War I. Sold to Dunkirk ship breakers in November 1927. Sister ship to the LA LORRAINE.
