Kieffer currently resides in a quaint community by Point Reyes National Seashore in California. She is co-founded the Gallery Route One in the nearby Point Reyes Station. She visits Paris often, waking in the early hours of dawn to walk the boulevards and photograph the magic of the city before it is completely distorted by tour buses and the noise of the increasing amount of cars.
