Description: This is an AUTHENTIC L-39 Aero Vodochody Albatros Russian Air Force patch designed in the style of patches worn in REAL Russian squadrons. It incorporates Russian Air Force symbols and insignia from the Cold War era! The gold wreath and two-headed Eagle crest is the heraldry used by the Air Force and the blue and yellow starburst background are the colors in the Russian Air Force flag. The red star is the roundel painted on the wings and tail of Russian aircraft and was used 1984-1996. Военно-воздушные cилы России (literal translation: Voyenno-vozdushnye sily Rossii) in English means the "Military Air Forces of Russia." RUSSIAN Fighter Pilots would be wearing this patch had it been made for THEM!!! But it was made by an AMERICAN who happens to be a RETIRED U.S. Navy Lieutenant!!! It is a cloth patch with plastic heat sealed backing that measures 4.5" in diameter. Shipping in CONUS (Continental US) is FREE. International shipping charges will be calculated through USPS utilizing First Class Registered mail.
