Description: This is a Kwikset Smartcode 888 replacement motor unit ONLY, not the cover or zwave control chip as shown in last picture. If your lock is not retracting the bolt, then more than likely the motor unit is the issue. You do not need to replace your complete lock, just replace the motor unit. To clarify, this is the motor unit only which will NOT work without the blue zwave control chip shown on the last picture. This sale is for the insides, it will be the motor, gearbox, and metal back holder as shown in first picture. This is intended to be direct replacement to your existing 888 lock who's motor doesn't work. You just remove the 4 screws on the front cover, unplug the motor cable and move your cover and zwave chip to this unit. You should not have to re-include the lock into your hub. This will work as a replacement motor for all 888 locks. This listing does not include screws, battery holder, cover, or anything else. ALL MOTORS ARE TESTED FOR FULL FUNCTIONALITY PRIOR TO SHIPPING.
