Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Kutani Geisha Girl Lithophane Handpainted (Bamboo/Birds Pattern) Single (1) Tea Cup Saucer (No Tea Cup). At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and serving pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The saucer measures approximately 5.625” in diameter and most pieces in the set are marked with the following backstamp: “Kutani China, Handpainted Japan” Some pieces in the set may have a slight variation in the backstamp. The saucer has a white base, a platinum plated bamboo/birds pattern, and a platinum rim/verge. The pattern has been discontinued with the years of manufacture unknown. Condition: Overall, the saucers are in good condition for their age but show signs of use (utensil markings, and fading/worn areas on the platinum pattern and rim/verge) which is highlighted in the photos to the best of my ability. I do not feel that the condition of the pieces have been severely compromised due to any of these imperfections; however, with the estimated age and noticeable use of the pieces, I felt that it should be noted. The sacuers were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (chips, cracks, crazing) were noticed upon a thorough inspection.
