Description: The item for sale is a pair of plates that were made in Kutahya, Turkey probably during the end of the twentieth century. The plates were made to adorn walls with hand painted scenes of men in traditional garb carrying out activities. They appear to be from an earlier time during the Ottoman Empire but were made in a more recent date. The plate are attributed to specific artists. A variety of colors were used to decorate the plates. The plates have no cracks. There is a very minor chip or two on the rim that are very hard to notice. There may be a scattered crazing line to the transparent top glaze. The diameter of the plates is about 7".
