Description: DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION Up for sale is a Krips - Mason Machine Co. celluloid advertising measure that I think can also be used as a letter opener. It has KRIPS-MASON MACHINE COMPANY, INC., 1636 N. HUTCHINSON ST., PHILADELPHIA, PA printed on the measure side and on the reverse: EXCLUSIVE MAKERS OF AMERICAN BEAUTY AND BLUE RIBBON SATIN FINISH WASHERS AND DISCS. Also on this side in very small letters is the maker of the item: The Whitehead & Hoag Co, Newark N.J. It has a 3" ruler and a total length 4 5/8”. There is little information available on this company, but I think it dates to somewhere in the late 1880's through the early 1900's. I think they made cutting and punching machines.It is in a good condition with some minor wear and soiling.
