These lighters were available to the Armed Forces in the Far East through the various retail outlets on American bases throughout the western pacific region. The General Headquarters established by “The American Shogun”, General of the Army (5 star), Douglas MacArthur was generally known as “GHQ”. This lighter has the Unit Emblem that was used after MacArthur was sacked by President Truman.
