Description: This beautiful pewter cream and sugar set with tray is a perfect example of Norwegian pewter craftsmanship. The cream and sugar bowls are marked Konge-Tinn Pewter and each measures 1 ¾” tall and 2 ½” diameter. The tray is unmarked and measures 7 ¾” long by 3 ½” wide. The set also incudes the manufacturer’s information card. The cream and sugar bowls are in excellent vintage condition. There is some wear to the tray, so would describe it as very good. Please see photos as part of this description. From the product card: Royal Pewter – This pattern is linked with events that go back almost a thousand years in Norwegian history. It illustrates the story of Olav the Holy, one of the greatest of the Vikings, who was later crowned King of Norway and introduced Christianity to the country. It was for this cause that he died, at the battle of Stiklestad, in the year 1030. King Olav was later canonized and churches were built to his memory in many places in Europe.
