Description: Pre-War Kodak 170mm f/6.3 Anastigmat Dialyte lens in an Ilex Universal shutter with retaining ring. Fits 1 3/8" hole. The self-cocking Ilex shutter fires at all speeds and seems at least near the ballpark but it does occasionally stick open. It could use a CLA. The aperture ring turns smoothly. The un-coated glass is clear with no fungus or haze. There are some minor cleaning marks but I think the lens would perform well with a 4x5 graflex press camera or view camera. These lenses have a solid reputation.
