KITCHEN APRON from VTG TOPPER Hand Emb w/BIG FLORAL BASKETS on sides/Red Gingham

Description: Welcome to my Store, this listing is for a Half Kitchen APRON recently handmade using a vintage and preowned border piece of a White cotton Topper/Tablecloth with a beautiful tall Basket of colorful Flowers, because the original tablecloth was small I added the classical 1/4" red and white 100% cotton medium weight gingham fabric to made the waistband and hem border with a super jumbo Yellow color rickrack ribbon sewn in between the fabrics in the top of the border for a cute accent, the long tiebacks/sashes were made with a brand new cotton fabric, this Apron is in excellent gift condition. - apron skirt is 19.5 inches long without counting the waistband and 43.5 inches wide around the skirt- waistband is 20.5 inches long and 2 inches wide- tiebacks are 63.5 inches long in each side and 1.5 inches wide. I really love to rescue old vintage linens and up-cycled them in others kind of useful items, this particular Topper was so well made, the hand embroidery is very colorful - the original owner did the branches and the leafs in different colors! and all the french knots are just perfect, I did my best to put her work back again in the Universe, lots of people don't appreciate this kind of work anymore, this Apron is very white, the fabric is very strong, was soak, wash and press with no starch before the sewing by me, I made extra long sashes because I use this kind of Apron to dress my vintage Mannequins and I like to have extra long pieces just in case I am inspire to made something special, some Ladies just wrapped around the waist and made the bow in the center or in one side, the Topper have almost all the hand embroidery in the side, you can do it!, is a perfect Mother's Day gift for a Lady in love with vintage hand embroidery Linens, perfect for use or for display, come with my handmade Tag.
